Liberal MP Nicola Di Iorio, who has has not been seen in Parliament since the House resumed sitting Sept. 17, has announced for the second time that he’s resigning.
Di Iorio told CBC News his resignation will take effect January 2019.
Last week, the Saint-Léonard—Saint-Michel MP posted a short message on Facebook saying Trudeau had assigned him responsibilities that required his absence from the House of Commons.
In April he announced he was leaving politics without giving a timeline — but in September he said he was still thinking about it.
More to come.
